White Tail Tangs are hardy and moderately easy to care for, thriving in tanks of 75 gallons or larger with plenty of swimming space. They are generally peaceful but may display territorial behavior toward other tangs. These fish are active grazers and benefit from algae-rich environments and varied diets including quality flake foods, pellets, and fresh vegetables.
Ideal water conditions include a temperature range of 72–78°F, pH of 8.1–8.3, and stable salinity. Provide ample rockwork and hiding spaces to reduce stress. With proper care and a well-maintained aquarium, the White Tail Tang can live 5–10 years, becoming a rewarding centerpiece for dedicated aquarists.
