White Spot Puffer (Arothron hispidus)

White Spot Puffers require a spacious aquarium with excellent filtration, plenty of swimming room, and rockwork that provides shelter and enrichment. They thrive on a varied diet of hard-shelled foods such as clams, mussels, shrimp, crab, and snails, along with high-quality frozen marine foods. These foods help naturally wear down their continuously growing teeth, which is essential for their long-term health.
Although generally peaceful toward similarly sized fish, White Spot Puffers are not considered reef safe, as they may nip at corals and consume ornamental shrimp, crabs, snails, and other invertebrates. They are best suited for fish-only or FOWLR (Fish Only With Live Rock) aquariums with compatible tank mates.
