New to the shop (and the hobby) are Turkana Jewel Cichlids! These African Jewels come from Lake Turkana in Kenya, which is a highly alkaline Rift Lake. These cichlids are considered peaceful for an African Cichlid, however care should still be taken with them as they can become aggressive- particularly during breeding. This vibrant cichlid will display deep red coloration with iridescent blue coming through in their fins, proving themselves to be true Jewels like their namesake!
