The True Parrot Cichlid, or Hoplarchus psittacus, is a freshwater fish species native to the Amazon Basin in South America. It is known for its distinctive parrot-like appearance and behavior, as well as its aggressive nature. They require a large aquarium and are not recommended for beginner fish keepers.
