They readily accept a varied diet of shrimp, squid, clam, scallop, krill, marine pellets, and other meaty foods. Frequent, high-quality feedings help support healthy growth and vibrant coloration.
Due to their eventual size and appetite, Spotted Sweetlips are best suited for experienced marine aquarists with large fish-only or FOWLR (Fish Only With Live Rock) systems. They may consume ornamental shrimp, crabs, and other small invertebrates, making them unsuitable for most reef aquariums.
