Looking for a cute lazy fish? Well look no further the Green Congo Bichir is waiting for you to take it home! Congo Bichirs are best kept in a densely planted single species tank of at least 150 gallons with a sand or fine gravel substrate, some driftwood with plenty of caves and hiding places. The bichir is a carnivore, and very rarely eats dried foods. Therefore, a diet of frozen or live foods is recommended for larger fish, including shrimp, baitfish, mussels, and earthworms. Keeping tank mates with these fish can be tricky but as long as the tank mates cannot eat the Bichir and don’t have long fins that could possibly be nipped by the Bichir things should work out great!
