They readily accept a variety of foods including frozen mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, copepods, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality marine pellets. Due to their timid nature, they should be housed with other peaceful tank mates that won't outcompete them for food.
A tightly fitting aquarium lid is essential, as Purple Firefish Gobies are excellent jumpers and may leap from uncovered aquariums if startled.
