These fish get there name from the way two fish will ‘kiss’ each other, which is thought to maybe be a way of showing dominance/defending territory and is not believed to be related to anything romantic. Still, these fish will grow large (up to 12 inches!) and can be housed with other larger fish like Cichlids as long as the tank is large enough. These pink fish are a popular choice due to their relatively peaceful nature at smaller sizes, however adults can become a bit more aggressive as they grow in size so care should be taken when choosing tank mates.
