Native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific, Panda Gobies live almost exclusively among branching SPS corals such as Acropora and Pocillopora, where they find shelter and protection. In the home aquarium, they appreciate mature reef systems with plenty of branching coral, live rock, and small crevices to call home. Once acclimated, they often establish a favorite perch and can be observed watching the activity around the aquarium.
Panda Gobies are completely reef safe and coexist peacefully with other small reef fish and invertebrates. They readily accept finely chopped frozen foods, baby brine shrimp, copepods, and high-quality nano marine pellets. Due to their small mouths, frequent feedings of appropriately sized foods help ensure long-term health and vibrant coloration.
Their peaceful disposition makes them ideal for nano reef aquariums, though they should not be housed with aggressive or much larger fish that may outcompete them for food.
