Opaline Gourami

The Opaline Gourami is a great beginner level fish. They are popular for their quirky personalities and beautiful pattern. These guys will max out at around 6 inches, so a minimum tank size of 35 gallons is required for a single Opaline Gourami. However, these guys make great community fish! If kept in a community tank, it is best to size up your tank size so that every fish has enough space to swim around and establish territory without any stress. Since these guys can be semi-aggressive when it comes to territory, they would do best with peaceful fish of the same size. Some example of good tank mates include: loaches, plecos, larger tetras, and characins.
