The Nandus Indian Leaf Fish is a masterfully camouflaged freshwater species that mimics fallen leaves in its natural habitat. This ambush predator features a flattened body with mottled brown and tan coloration, allowing it to blend seamlessly into leaf litter and aquatic vegetation. Best suited for experienced aquarists, it thrives in heavily planted tanks with subdued lighting and plenty of hiding spots. Maintain water temperatures between 72-79°F with slightly acidic to neutral conditions. Feed live or frozen small fish and invertebrates to satisfy its predatory nature. A solitary fish that demands respect for its specialized care requirements and unique hunting behavior.
