The Longnose Hawkfish is a striking addition to established saltwater aquariums, distinguished by its elongated snout and vibrant red coloration with white striping. This species exhibits fascinating perching behavior, often hovering near rockwork and coral formations where it hunts small crustaceans and fish larvae. Hardy and relatively easy to maintain, it thrives in well-structured tanks with plenty of hiding spots and moderate water flow. Best suited for experienced aquarists, this hawkfish displays territorial tendencies and should be housed with compatible tank mates. Requires a minimum 75-gallon aquarium and stable water conditions with temperatures between 72-78°F.
