How awesome is this guy!? This is a Leporinus Fasciatus. These fish grow to be about 10 inches long so should be kept in a 70+ gallon aquarium. They prefer to be kept with a large school of 5 or more to prevent aggression with one another. They are from rocky river beds with strong currents, so it is best to try to mimic that as closely as possible. These guys are omnivores and tend to eat delicate plants. Keeping hardy plants like Java fern or fake plants is the best call for decor with these guys. Lastly, they are excellent jumpers and need a secure lid on their aquarium to ensure they don’t accidentally jump out of the aquarium.
