King Kong Parrot Cichlid

The Parrot Cichlid is a hybrid freshwater fish popular in the fish-keeping hobby because of their many different color variations. Described as semi-aggressive, you should carefully select your parrot's tankmates. Due to their size and slightly territorial behavior, you want to house them with other medium-large mild-mannered fish. If you are having trouble finding tankmates for your parrot, you can house large groups of parrots together happily when kept in the proper setup. The average parrot cichlid reaches 8" and should be housed in nothing smaller than 40 gallons, but if you are keeping more than one, we recommend 65 gallons or more.
