Green Clown Goby (Gobiodon atrangulatus / Gobiodon histrio)
The Green Clown Goby is a small but incredibly charismatic reef fish that brings vibrant color and unique personality to saltwater aquariums. Its bright green body, compact size, and amusing perching behavior make it a favorite among nano reef keepers and experienced marine hobbyists alike. Often seen resting among coral branches or perched on live rock, this charming fish adds character and interest far beyond its size.
Native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific, Green Clown Gobies spend much of their time weaving through branching corals and observing their surroundings. Unlike many reef fish that constantly swim through the water column, Clown Gobies prefer to perch and hop from spot to spot, creating entertaining and unique behaviors that quickly make them a favorite aquarium inhabitant.
Green Clown Gobies are reef safe and well suited for smaller aquariums. They thrive in established reef systems with plenty of rockwork, coral structures, and peaceful tank mates. While they may initially be shy, they often become quite visible once acclimated and readily accept frozen foods, small pellets, and other appropriately sized marine diets.
