Geophagus altifrons "Tocantins" Cichlid

Geophagus Altifrons are such cool fish! Once these guys reach full size, they will get a gorgeous blue shimmer and long fins. They grow to be about 9 inches and are known to be mostly peaceful. Keeping them with other large peaceful fish is ideal. One important component of setting their aquarium up is making sure they have soft sandy substrate. Geophagus Altifrons will pick up substrate in their mouth and sift through it to pull out any food particles. Feeding them small omnivorous foods will ensure they digest it properly.
