In the aquarium, it appreciates a spacious environment with plenty of open swimming space, rock formations, caves, and territories. A sandy substrate helps recreate its natural habitat, while strong filtration and well-oxygenated water are essential for maintaining excellent health.
Eureka Red Jake Peacock Cichlids are carnivorous micropredators that naturally feed on small aquatic invertebrates. In captivity, a high-quality African cichlid pellet should form the foundation of their diet. Supplementing with frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other appropriate protein-rich foods helps support healthy growth, strong coloration, and overall condition. Avoid excessive feeding of fatty or inappropriate foods.
