Emperor Angelfish

The Emperor Angelfish is a striking marine specimen prized by experienced aquarists for its vibrant coloration and distinctive appearance. Juveniles display bold yellow and blue striping that transforms into the adult's elegant blue body with yellow facial markings and dorsal fin accents. This species requires a well-established aquarium of at least 100 gallons with plenty of rockwork and hiding spaces. Emperor Angelfish are semi-aggressive and best kept singly or in pairs within compatible reef environments. They feed on a varied diet including high-quality angelfish preparations, sponges, and occasional live foods. Optimal water conditions—stable temperature between 72-78°F, proper pH, and excellent filtration—are essential for long-term health and color vibrancy.
