Elephant Nose Knife

What’s this oddball? It’s an Elephant Nose Fish! As you can see, they have a trunk like nose that resembles an elephant trunk. This nose connects to their mouth and makes it easy for them to reach into small crevices to eat. Since they grow to be about 10 inches long, we recommend at least a 55 gallon aquarium. It is best to have soft sand to ensure they don’t scrape up their nose when digging for food. Elephant nose fish need to have plenty of hiding places to feel comfortable, so make sure you keep that in mind. Lastly, you will want to feed meaty frozen or live foods such as bloodworms and blackworms.
