Male Betta Fish (Betta splendens)

Male Bettas are carnivores and thrive on a diet of high-quality betta pellets supplemented with frozen or live bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and other protein-rich foods. Feeding small portions once or twice daily helps maintain vibrant coloration, healthy finnage, and overall condition while preventing overfeeding.
Male Bettas are highly territorial and should never be housed with other male bettas. They can be successfully kept in community aquariums with carefully selected peaceful tank mates such as Corydoras, Otocinclus, small rasboras, Ember Tetras, snails, and some shrimp, provided the aquarium offers adequate space and hiding places. Avoid aggressive or fin-nipping species, as well as fish with long, flowing fins that may trigger territorial behavior.
