Dwarf Gouramis are the perfect centerpiece fish for your small community aquarium! They should be kept in at least a 20 gallon aquarium since they do get to be about 2” when fully grown. If you wish to keep multiple of them together, we recommend a heavily decorated 20 gallon or moving up to a 30 gallon. This is because they can be territorial with each other and if their space is too small, it can stress them out. A few good tank mates for them would be tetras, rainbows, plecos or small catfish. Stay away from anything too small like chili rasboras or small shrimp as they might get eaten. Overall, they can fit in many different community aquariums and are just stunning!
