If you have a nano aquarium and don’t have some clown killifish your missing out! They are truly awesome fish and are very eye catching. Once fully mature, male clown killifish get red, blue and orange in their fins. Also, their black stripes get darker and their eyes will be bright blue! Clown killis are a micro predator and will gladly eat bloodworms, brine shrimp, tubifex worms and some will eat pellets as well! They do best in groups of at least four and need a well planted aquarium to feel comfortable. These killis only reach about an inch long and the females will usually stay a little smaller than the males. Good tank mates for these little guys are other small nano fish such as green neon tetras, pygmy corycats, or emerald dwarf rasboras.
