Livestock Shipping Information and Terms

 

These Terms will be applied fully and may affect your use of this Website.

By utilizing this Website to purchase livestock items, hard goods and aquatic plants, you agree to accept all terms and conditions as presented here. You must not use this Website to purchase fish, hard goods or aquatic plants if you disagree with any of these Terms.

Report DOA, Damaged or Unhealthy Arrivals

Livestock Online Sales Terms:

*All sales are final.

*No LIVE inventory can be held without payment.

*Live arrival is ONLY guaranteed on overnight, next day express or our standard 1-3 day delivery. Overnight and next day express shipping may require additional shipping costs in your area.

*Natural Environment Aqautix can not guarantee the sex of any fish. Unless the term “Actual Fish” appears in the description of the livestock item on our website, the buyer understands that the image used or applied to the livestock being sold has been used solely for identification purposes only.

Livestock Shipping:

The minimum order for FREE shipping is $199.00. Shipping charges do not count towards minimum order value.

Combined shipping rates are available on all orders.

We ship all fish in insulated boxes with compressed oxygen and water conditioner. Hot/Cold packs are included as deemed necessary, however, there are no additional packing charges included in the final cost.

Natural Environment Aquatix guarantees Live Arrival however, no Livestock items received by the Buyer are guaranteed past the arrival and acceptance of the Buyer.

Fish that die during shipping will be replaced with the same fish only, or we will issue a full refund, less shipping. For more information please see the DOA / Damaged section below.

DOA / Damaged and Unhealthy Arrival:

Natural Environment Aquatix certifies that all fish are in good condition, are healthy and are eating when they are packaged and leave our facility for shipping.

Natural Environment Aqautix guarantees live arrival. Live arrival is guaranteed on overnight, next day express and our standard 1-3 day delivery – as long as they are delivered within the time frame specified by the shipping carrier and received by the buyer within an acceptable and reasonable time frame usually 2-4 hours of time-stamped delivery.

The Buyer acknowledges that if the livestock item arrived DOA, Damaged or in Poor Health, it is the buyer’s responsibility to take a minimum of two pictures of the fish – in the original, sealed bag when the shipment is opened. Applicable photographs must be received by Natural Environment Aquatix within four hours of the time-stamped package delivery. Releasing fish from the delivery bag without communication and photographs ends the “Arrival” period and also implies that the livestock received were in acceptable condition when they arrived.

Natural Environment Aqautix will not under any circumstance replace fish that have died due to inadequate acclimation, poor water quality/conditions, incompatibility with new tank mates, inappropriate diet, or if they have been left in the delivery bags for extended periods of time.

Please do call us right away to discuss fish that are not DOA but you have concerns regarding the health of your new fish. It is important that we help you identify the problem right away. We are always enthusiastically happy to work with our customers, especially when it comes to the health of their fish!

We ask that all valid claims be made within 4 hours of delivery. After 4 hours of delivery, all DOA claims may be void and relies solely on the discretion of Natural Environment Aqautix. All claims must be submitted via email, or contact form.

Protected and Prohibited Species:

The Buyer understands and acknowledges that Natural Environment Aqautix is not responsible for knowing the buyer’s home state laws regarding the importation of aquatic livestock, including lists of conditional, restricted, and prohibited species. It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to be aware of any restrictions and operate within their home state’s applicable laws when ordering and receiving any and all Livestock from Natural Environment Aqautix. Natural Environment Aqautix assumes no responsibility nor can be held liable for any fines incurred regarding the purchase, acceptance and keeping of any prohibited livestock by the buyer.

Refunds / Credits:

Natural Environment Aqautix does not under any circumstance offer cash or card refunds EXCEPT for DOA shipments. DOA credits are only redeemable for the same species of fish on the next order pending their availability. Shipping charges are not covered by our DOA Policy.

Acclimation Guide:


Properly acclimating your newly arrived fish is THE KEY to making sure they adapt to their new home quickly and safely. Proper acclimation can make the difference between a thriving, healthy fish and one that struggles or gets sick soon after arrival. We have developed these acclimation procedures for your benefit. Failure to acclimate your fish according to these guidelines will void our guarantee. 

If you receive a fish that appears to be very stressed do not immediately acclimate. Instead float the bags on the surface for 15 minutes with your lights off to allow them to “peacefully temperature acclimate”. Do not open the bags at this time.

After temperature acclimation, open the bag and carefully drain the water from the bag out into a bucket while keeping the fish in the bag. After most of the water in the bag has been eliminated, immediately add the fish to the aquarium. *Adding a small amount of bag water to the aquarium while transferring fish is not harmful.

We recommend keeping your lights off for the remainder of the day to allow your new addition(s) to settle in with minimal stress. Generally, it is best to wait to feed your new fish until the following day.

Purchasing Fish Online:

Place your online order by checking out and submitting payment. Simply placing fish in your shopping cart will not reserve them. You must complete the checkout process to procure any livestock items for delivery.

All of our packages are shipped via USPS Priority 1-3 Day. We only ship Monday & Tuesday to ensure that your package gets to you by Friday. Tracking Numbers are sent to the customer via email once the package has been accepted and checked in by USPS. 

We do not ship Live Animals to PO Boxes. DON’T EVEN ASK. 

Shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not available due to governmental regulations and restrictions (as well as the significant likelihood of delay).
